Our History

Decades of Dedication: Engineering the Future

Founded in 1981 in Middletown, Rhode Island, SEACORP began as a modest startup with a vision to excel in the maritime domain. Over the past four decades, SEACORP has not only realized this vision but has also established itself as a pivotal contributor to the U.S. Navy’s undersea warfare capabilities. As a leading mid-sized company, SEACORP specializes in delivering critical engineering solutions and is recognized as the foremost provider of submarine electronic systems.

Throughout the years, SEACORP has maintained a long-standing relationship with the U.S. Navy, making notable contributions to the Navy's undersea warfare capabilities. Its reputation for excellence and innovation has positioned it as the second-largest contractor to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in Newport, Rhode Island, underscoring its central role in advancing the undersea warfare technologies and strategies.

The acquisition of SEACORP by KAPCO Defense, LLC, under the leadership of Roy Kapani in March 2021, marked the beginning of a new era in its history, indicating a future of enhanced capabilities and opportunities for growth. By leveraging strategic acquisitions and investing in organic growth, SEACORP is committed to expanding its support for the Navy's mission, focusing on dominance at sea and contributing to a safer, more secure world.

Today, as SEACORP looks to the future, we remain dedicated to its founding principles of integrity, excellence, and innovation. With a strong foundation and a clear vision, SEACORP is poised to continue its tradition of excellence, ensuring the safety and security of Naval forces, and contributing to a safer, more secure world.
